NATIONWIDE TYLENOL SHORTAGE
Johnson
& Johnson will begin to ship Tylenol severe cold & flu
medicine this week. Tylenol Cold & Flu has been of the shelves
since late 2009. Tylenol experienced some problems during manufacturing
that prompted them to shutdown a manufacturing plant. Regulators
found metal shavings in children's Tylenol bottles and a musty smell in
other Tylenol products that many consumers complained about. These
problems have also lead to a congressional investigation.
Johnson
& Johnson lost close to 1Billion dollars last year and is
expected to lose over 1Billion dollars this year due to the recalls.
Johnson & Johnson is glad that they will be able to get Tylenol
cold & flu medicine back on store shelves before the very busy
holiday season which is the products peak time.
